Paper Store Manager – Corrugated Carton Manufacturing

About the role

The Paper Store Manager will oversee receipt, storage, inventory control and issuance of paper reels used in corrugated carton production, ensuring continuous material availability while minimizing waste and damage.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records for all paper grades and GSMs, conduct regular stock verification and enforce FIFO/FEFO practices.
• Receive and inspect incoming paper reels, verify specifications, coordinate quality inspections and report non‑conforming items.
• Issue paper reels to production according to approved plans, track consumption by machine and order, and keep detailed issue records.
• Manage storage conditions to prevent moisture damage, organise locations for efficient retrieval, and implement 5S housekeeping.
• Update inventory transactions in Microsoft Dynamics Samadhan, prepare daily movement reports and support month‑end/year‑end reconciliations.
• Coordinate with procurement, production planning, quality assurance, logistics and other departments to ensure material availability.
• Monitor and reduce paper wastage, investigate shortages and enforce inventory control procedures.
• Ensure safe handling of heavy reels and compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with at least 8 years of experience in store or inventory management within manufacturing.
• Proven ability to manage paper or similar raw material inventories in a corrugated carton environment.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control principles, FIFO/FEFO, and loss‑prevention techniques.
• Experience reporting to supply chain management and collaborating across departments.
