Process Operator

About the role

The Process Operator is responsible for safely operating and maintaining defined brewing process areas, equipment and related processes to achieve optimal effectiveness. You will work on shift patterns, support continuous improvement and ensure product quality throughout the brewing cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Attend safety briefings, review MES data, receive shift handovers and perform deep cleaning, inspection and lubrication of equipment.
• Monitor brewing parameters (brewhouse, cellars, filtration) and fermentation vessel conditions such as temperature, yeast activity, AE and OE analysis.
• Conduct cleaning‑in‑place (CIP) for tanks, vessels and pipelines, operate steam systems and perform basic maintenance tasks like valve changes.
• Capture lab, filtration and tank data into the MES, track KPI’s such as beer loss and plant availability, and coordinate raw‑material orders.
• Respond quickly to alarms, escalates unresolved issues and apply root‑cause tools (5 WHY, PTCA) to drive problem solving.

Required profile

• Hardworking, honest, self‑motivated and able to work in shifts.
• Dynamic team player with high integrity, attention to detail and a curious, bold mindset.
• National Diploma or higher in Food Science, Industrial Chemistry or Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a Food & Beverage or production environment.

Required skills

• MES operation and data entry.
• Cleaning‑in‑Place (CIP) procedures.
• AE (Apparent Extract) and OE (Original Extract) analysis.
• Fermentation monitoring (temperature, yeast activity).
• Basic equipment maintenance (valve changes, inspections).
• KPI tracking and deviation reporting.
