Pool Driver – Jinja and Kampala

About the role

We are looking for a responsible, safety‑focused Pool Driver to transport staff, clients and official visitors between Jinja, Kampala and surrounding areas. The role includes handling cash, documents and parcels while maintaining the company vehicle in excellent condition.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the assigned vehicle safely, complying with traffic laws and company policies.
• Transport staff, clients and authorized visitors to designated locations on time.
• Deliver and collect cash, documents, parcels and other items, obtaining acknowledgements where required.
• Load, transport and off‑load goods securely to prevent loss or damage.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections, report faults and coordinate maintenance.
• Maintain accurate logbooks, mileage, fuel consumption and service schedules.
• Plan efficient travel routes and ensure confidentiality of all transported materials.
• Support administrative errands and collaborate with other departments.

Required profile

• Valid Ugandan driving permit with appropriate classes.
• Minimum 3 years professional driving experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or equivalent.
• Clean driving record with no serious traffic offences.
• Good knowledge of routes within Jinja and surrounding areas.

Required skills

• Proficiency with smartphone and GPS navigation (Google Maps).
• Basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting knowledge.
