Private Investor – Strategic Finance

About the role

AfuChat is seeking a Private Investor to join its executive team in Kampala. This full‑time, on‑site role will support strategic financial decision‑making, capital allocation, and long‑term value creation for the rapidly growing social technology platform.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse current and projected business performance using financial reports and market data.
• Assess funding needs, evaluate investment opportunities, and advise on capital allocation.
• Monitor key performance indicators and support governance and risk‑management practices.
• Participate in strategic planning meetings and identify new market and partnership opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with leadership to align investment priorities with AfuChat’s mission and expansion goals.

Required profile

• Strong background in financial analysis, investment evaluation, and portfolio management.
• Experience in strategic planning, business development, or market research within technology or emerging markets.
• Knowledge of corporate governance, risk assessment, and compliance for early‑stage companies.
• Proven track record in private investing, venture capital, private equity, or angel investing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics or related field; CFA, MBA or similar certifications are a plus.
• Ability to work on‑site in Kampala and commit to AfuChat’s mission of empowering African users.
