Program Manager, Sexual, Reproductive, Maternal and Newborn Health

About the role
Lead the design, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the Sexual, Reproductive, Maternal and Newborn Health (SRMNCH) program for CHAI in Uganda, ensuring delivery against grant objectives and donor commitments.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and manage program work plans, results frameworks, risk registers and budgets, and lead quarterly and annual performance reviews.
- Build and maintain relationships with Ministry of Health, district health teams, partners and CHAI global teams, representing the organization in technical working groups.
- Oversee financial planning, tracking and reporting, ensuring compliance with CHAI policies and donor requirements.
- Provide technical leadership for ERS interventions, including logistics, capacity building, demand generation and health systems strengthening.
Required profile
- Master’s degree preferred in public health, business administration or related field; minimum bachelor’s degree with extensive experience.
- 5–7 years of experience in results‑driven environments, including at least 2 years in a leadership or people‑management role, preferably in global health or international development.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi‑stakeholder programs, budgeting, and working with Ministries of Health.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
