Recreation Service Expert - Attendant

About the role

JW Marriott is hiring a Recreation Service Expert (Attendant) in Kampala, Uganda, to serve as a key resource for all recreation activities on the property. The role covers guest information, activity registration and scheduling, facility promotion, cash handling and basic first aid, and is listed as full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Inform guests about available facilities such as pools, beach, game room, fitness center and child activities center, and encourage them to take part in activities.
• Promote the rules and regulations of the facilities and promote a fun, relaxing atmosphere.
• Respond to emergencies in line with local operating procedures and assist injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
• Clean and maintain facilities, equipment and supplies, and report accidents, injuries and unsafe conditions to the manager.
• Provide cashier services and process payments for rental equipment, activities, facility rentals and retail sales.
• Assist with private functions and group events, and help guests who need assistance.
• Follow company policies, keep a professional appearance, maintain confidentiality and comply with quality assurance standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• No related work experience or supervisory experience required.
• CPR certification and First Aid certification required.
• Any certification or training required by local and state agencies.
