Sales Associate – Insurance Agency (Kampala)

About the role

The Sales Associate will work on‑site in Kampala for an insurance agency, driving new business and nurturing existing client relationships. This full‑time position focuses on prospecting, presenting agency services, and supporting the sales team to achieve targets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through calls, meetings and presentations.
• Present agency services to prospective clients and prepare basic proposals or quotations.
• Maintain ongoing relationships with existing clients and follow up on leads to close sales.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure client requirements are clearly communicated and services are delivered as agreed.
• Keep accurate records of sales activities, update reports and support basic marketing initiatives.
• Contribute to individual and team sales targets.

Required profile

• Demonstrated sales or customer‑facing experience with strong rapport‑building abilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Basic understanding of recruitment, advertising or marketing services, or a strong interest in learning them.
• Good organisational and time‑management skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work on‑site in Kampala, collaborate in a team and meet set targets and deadlines.
• Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with common office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Comfort using digital communication tools and handling sales records/reports.
