Sales Associate – Insurance Agency (Kampala)

About the role

The Sales Associate is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Kampala. You will identify and engage prospective clients, present insurance solutions and close sales to meet individual and team targets. The role also includes after‑sales support and continuous improvement of the sales process.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct outreach through calls, meetings and events to generate new leads.
• Follow up on leads, prepare basic proposals or quotations, and record activities in CRM or sales‑tracking tools.
• Collaborate with marketing and training teams to understand product offerings and support promotional activities.
• Provide after‑sales support, gather client feedback and suggest improvements to the sales process.

Required profile

• Strong sales, negotiation and customer‑relationship skills with the ability to build trust and close deals.
• Basic knowledge of business planning, advertising and business development concepts, or a willingness to learn quickly.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English; proficiency in local languages is an advantage.
• Good organizational and time‑management abilities, including accurate record‑keeping.
• Comfort using digital tools such as email, office productivity software and CRM systems.
• Previous experience in sales, client service or business development is preferred.
• Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field is an added advantage.
• Demonstrated integrity, accountability and a proactive attitude toward achieving targets.
