Sales Supervisor – Financial Services

About the role

The Sales Supervisor will lead the sales team of Uwezo Microfinance Limited, driving acquisition of new customers and expanding the existing loan portfolio. This role focuses on implementing effective sales strategies to meet revenue targets while ensuring compliance with credit and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business and revenue goals.
• Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to meet individual and collective targets.
• Identify new markets, partnership opportunities, and customer segments.
• Manage the sales pipeline from lead generation through onboarding and loan disbursement.
• Conduct field visits to support sales officers in client acquisition and relationship management.
• Collaborate with Credit and Collections teams to ensure quality portfolio growth and timely repayments.
• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance against set targets.
• Analyse market trends, competitor activities and prepare performance reports for management.
• Organise sales campaigns, promotions and community outreach activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, credit guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 24 months of sales experience, preferably in banking, finance or micro‑finance.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a sales team.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Commitment to ethical sales practices and responsible lending.
