Salesperson – Insurance Agency (Kampala)

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site Salesperson position is based in Kampala and focuses on generating new business for an insurance agency. You will identify prospects, present insurance solutions, and guide customers through the entire sales cycle from first contact to closing.

Key responsibilities

• Generate leads through calls, visits and networking.
• Conduct product demonstrations and presentations for prospective clients.
• Prepare quotations, proposals and maintain accurate sales records.
• Report on sales activities, performance metrics and pipeline status.
• Collaborate with business planning and advertising teams to match client needs with suitable insurance products.
• Support post‑sale customer satisfaction and retention.

Required profile

• Strong sales and negotiation abilities, including prospecting, pipeline management and closing.
• Excellent client relationship management with active listening and needs analysis.
• Basic understanding of business planning, advertising and business development concepts, or willingness to learn quickly.
• Fluent verbal and written communication in English; additional local languages are a plus.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently, meet targets and manage time and territory effectively.
• Minimum diploma in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field; relevant experience considered.

Required skills

• Proficiency with common digital tools (email, spreadsheets, presentation software).
• Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems (preferred).
