Senior AI/ML Engineer – AI Travel Recommendation

About the role

We are looking for a Senior AI/ML Engineer to lead the creation of an AI‑powered travel recommendation engine. You will design, build and optimise intelligent systems that deliver personalised itineraries to millions of travellers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance AI recommendation algorithms for travel content.
• Integrate and fine‑tune large language models such as Anthropic Claude and OpenAI GPT.
• Build real‑time inference services using FastAPI and ensure low latency.
• Design and implement GraphQL APIs with Strawberry.
• Optimise model performance, implement caching with Redis and manage data in PostgreSQL.
• Collaborate with product teams to define AI‑driven features and prototype new capabilities.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years focused on ML/AI.
• Strong Python expertise, including asynchronous programming.
• Hands‑on experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic).
• Proficiency with FastAPI or similar frameworks.
• Solid understanding of ML fundamentals, NLP and recommendation systems.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis.
