Senior Business Support Associate – Fleet & Training

About the role

The Senior Business Support Associate (Fleet & Training) will provide operational, administrative, financial and coordination support to the World Food Programme’s Kampala Fleet Hub and Transport Training Centre. The role ensures smooth fleet management, leasing activities and delivery of training programmes that strengthen transport capabilities across Uganda and the wider East and Southern Africa region.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the day‑to‑day operations of the Kampala Fleet Hub, including truck leasing, maintenance scheduling and technical assistance.
• Support the planning and delivery of transport‑related training programmes for WFP staff and partner organisations.
• Handle administrative and financial tasks such as budgeting, invoicing, reporting and compliance with WFP policies.
• Coordinate with country offices, regional partners and external service providers to address transport capacity gaps.
• Prepare and analyse performance data, fleet utilisation reports and training evaluations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of fleet management processes and training curricula.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent in business administration, logistics, transport management or a related field.
• Several years of experience in fleet operations, transport support or business administration, preferably in a humanitarian or international development context.
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• Fluency in English and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
