Server / Wait Staff – Food Services

About the role

The Wait Staff Person provides residents, guests and staff with prompt, efficient, and courteous service in the dining room. Working under the Dining Room Manager, you will ensure meals are served in an attractive and professional manner.

Key responsibilities

• Set tables attractively before meals begin.
• Serve food and beverages professionally.
• Clear tables and clean dining areas promptly.
• Provide information to customers about food and meal services.
• Receive and respond to customer comments related to food service.

Required profile

• Excellent customer‑service orientation with a pleasant, cheerful disposition.
• Reliability, accuracy, and attention to detail regarding menu items and ordering.
• Patience and a caring attitude toward elderly and disabled persons.
• Ability to tolerate and diffuse angry or aggressive behavior.
• Basic knowledge of therapeutic diets and sanitary practices (HACCP).
• Ability to read and write menu items in English.
• Current State of Washington Food Handler’s permit.
