Social Media Manager

About the role

The Social Media Manager will lead Zamsell Uganda’s online presence, creating and publishing engaging content across key platforms. Working full‑time in a hybrid setting from Kampala, you will collaborate with internal teams to align social activity with promotions and brand objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute social media strategies to increase reach, engagement and conversions.
• Plan editorial calendars, create copy, graphics and video assets, and schedule posts.
• Monitor performance metrics, analyse data and optimise campaigns.
• Manage community interactions by responding to comments, messages and inquiries.
• Coordinate with marketing, sales and product teams to ensure consistent brand messaging.
• Stay up‑to‑date with platform trends, algorithm changes and best practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience in social media marketing and optimization for brand accounts.
• Excellent written communication with audience‑focused copywriting.
• Background in e‑commerce or retail marketing is a plus.
• Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Media or related field preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment and collaborate across functions.
