Specialist, Funds & Fiduciary Services Operations

About the role

The Specialist supports Standard Chartered’s Fund Services operations in Uganda, acting as the key intermediary between clients and Global Business Services (GBS) teams. The role focuses on delivering accurate fund accounting, NAV reporting and ensuring seamless client onboarding.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Group’s business strategy by identifying improvement opportunities in Fund Services operations and managing operational risks.
• Act as the primary liaison between clients and Global Business Services (GBS) teams, ensuring clear communication and coordination of fund accounting, NAV reporting and transfer agency activities.
• Lead client onboarding processes, including preparation of Private Placement Memorandum, Fund Administration Services Agreement and Service Level Memorandum, and facilitate system onboarding onto SeCCure and Multifonds.
• Coordinate daily Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations, transfer agency transactions and compliance monitoring with relevant GBS and compliance teams.
• Review and enhance Fund Services processes, promote automation, maintain control environment and support audit and management assurance requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in investment accounting and 2‑5 years in investment administration.
• At least 2 years of experience in trustee operations or collective investment scheme pricing, including NAV calculations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with ability to work across multiple internal and external parties.
• Demonstrated focus on accuracy, service delivery and meeting client expectations.
