Accountant – Finance & Tax Specialist

About the role

The Accountant will manage financial processing, ledger maintenance, and tax compliance for G4S Security Services Uganda. You will ensure accurate recording of transactions, timely cash‑flow forecasting, and adherence to Uganda Revenue Authority regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Process payments with complete supporting documentation and record journal vouchers and cash books.
• Maintain pre‑payment schedules, reconcile trial‑balance accounts, and revalue foreign‑currency ledgers monthly.
• Manage supplier ledgers, reconcile payables, and handle insurance contract reconciliations.
• Prepare projected cash‑flow forecasts and file monthly taxes, focusing on withholding tax.
• Fiscalize imported services invoices in line with local tax rules.
• Reconcile intercompany invoices and balances each month.
• Support store management with inventory controls, stock counts, and variance analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Progress toward or completion of ACCA or CPA Uganda is highly desirable.
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a multinational or fast‑paced logistics/security environment.
