About the role
The Uganda Heart Institute is hiring an Assistant Inventory Management Officer in Kampala (Kamwokya). The role covers receiving, inspecting, storing and issuing medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, equipment and general stores, while keeping accurate inventory records in line with hospital inventory management regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Receive, verify and document incoming institutional inventory against Purchase Orders and Delivery Notes according to established procedures.
- Receive and process store requisition orders from hospital wards, clinics and departments.
- Verify supplier invoices, delivery notes and Goods Received Notes (GRNs) for accuracy.
- Post, update and maintain stock records, stock cards and computerized inventory ledgers.
- Facilitate regular stock-taking exercises, cycle counts and stock inspection exercises.
Required profile
- Diploma in Stores and Inventory Management, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
