Head, Regional Logistics & Supply Chain

About the role

The Head, Regional Logistics and Supply Chain leads the design of country logistics strategy in line with the International Medical Corps (IMC) operational framework and Global Logistics and Supply Chain strategy, supporting country logistics teams in implementation and day-to-day operations. The role manages a portfolio of country programs and provides remote technical, tactical and strategic support to countries in the portfolio, plus on-site support. It reports to the Sr. Director, Global Logistics and Supply Chain and works with the Sr. Director, International Program.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement country logistics and supply chain strategy, including regional elements, and represent country logistics in the global logistics strategy
• Lead or support global logistics initiatives, tools, guidance and procedures, and take part in country digitalization roll-out plans
• Develop country carbon emissions supply chain reduction strategy and workplans, and ensure country readiness status is achieved
• Provide technical oversight of logistics, procurement and supply chain activities so they comply with policies, donor regulations and local laws, and work with Finance, Audit and Compliance to identify and mitigate risks
• Review and validate supply chain designs and project procurement plans, including feasibility and funding
• Carry out technical visits, spot interventions, surge support and capacity building, and oversee standard reporting, control reports, indicators and KPIs
• Support emergency responses regionally, including assessing logistics infrastructure, markets, procurement sources, power, water and fuel availability, and managing supply chain information for commodities
• Monitor fleet management, vehicle and generator fuel use, and import procedures
• Ensure accurate issuance and archiving of project documentation, and coordinate improvement workplans, procurement tools and Blanket Purchase Agreements
