Assistant Security Officer

About the role

The Uganda Heart Institute is looking for an Assistant Security Officer in Kampala to help maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, clients, staff, property and hospital assets. The role covers implementing security procedures, investigating incidents and reporting security concerns in line with institutional policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head of Security in overseeing day-to-day security operations at the Institute.
• Coordinate security desk operations and guard deployments within the hospital premises.
• Take part in planning, monitoring and periodically evaluating institutional security measures.
• Safeguard hospital property, assets, official vehicles, visitors and patient property.
• Prepare incident reports, security shift briefs and periodic surveillance logs.
• Manage, deploy and account for security equipment and materials allocated to the security department.

Required profile

• Diploma in any field from a recognized institution.
• Formal police, military or certified professional security training.
• At least three years of relevant security experience in a reputable public or private organization.
