Associate Manager, Trade Marketing

About the role

The Associate Manager, Trade Marketing – Uganda will drive trade marketing initiatives for BIC's Lighters and Shavers categories, focusing on distribution expansion, channel development, and execution excellence across the Uganda cluster.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure superior in‑store visibility, merchandising standards, planogram compliance and product availability at priority outlets.
• Deploy and optimise Point‑of‑Sale Materials (POSM) to maximise brand visibility and shopper engagement.
• Provide market, shopper and competitor insights to support commercial and marketing strategies.
• Analyse sales, distribution and trade promotion data, monitor KPIs and recommend corrective actions.
• Plan, execute and evaluate trade promotions and BTL activities in collaboration with the Business Development Manager.
• Manage the trade‑marketing budget, ensuring cost control and optimal ROI.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience in Trade Marketing, Marketing or a related commercial role.
• Experience in FMCG and working with multi‑market or distributor environments.
