About the role

Join Marriott International in Kampala as a Bartender, where you will create memorable beverage experiences and act as a host for our guests. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality drinks while ensuring exceptional service throughout the hotel.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a wide range of cocktails, mocktails and other beverages following brand standards.
  • Stay informed about current drink trends, micro‑local offerings and guest preferences.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and fully stocked bar area.
  • Engage with guests, build relationships and anticipate their needs beyond the bar.
  • Handle cash and transactions accurately, adhering to company policies.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments and community partners to enhance the overall guest experience.

Required profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 12 months of relevant bartending experience.
  • Passion for hospitality and a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to stand, walk and lift objects up to 25 lb for extended periods.
  • Commitment to a safe workplace, confidentiality and professional appearance.
