Biology and Chemistry A-Level Teacher - Lubowa Campus

About the role

Acorns International School (AIS) is hiring a Biology and Chemistry A-Level teacher for its Lubowa campus in Kampala. The post is full time and focuses on delivering the A-Level curriculum, managing resources and keeping records ready for review.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure unit plans, resources and assessments follow the written curriculum
• Organise subject-specific events and keep evidence of all curricular requirements for review
• Complete and review all required documentation on time before submission
• Maintain assessment standards and ensure units and topics are aligned vertically
• Prepare a list of books, journals and online resources for students and make sure subscribed resources are used by colleagues with data and timelines

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
• Teaching qualification or certificate is an added advantage
• 2 years of teaching experience is an added advantage; experience in an international school is also valued
