About the role
Acorns International School (AIS) is looking for an Early Years Teaching Assistant in Kampala, Uganda. The Teaching Assistant provides classroom support and works closely with the Lead Teacher to deliver the curriculum so that every learner receives quality education.
Key responsibilities
- Teach all areas of the curriculum
- Prepare the classroom for lessons
- Handle classroom displays and submit paperwork
- Work one-on-one or with small groups of students
- Take part in professional development and collaborative planning
- Help on school outings and at school events
- Report to and liaise with parents and guardians
- Assess learners and write reports
Required profile
- Diploma in Education or a related qualification
- Experience working with children
