Civil Project Manager

About the role

Vinayak Outsourcing Works Pvt Ltd is looking for an experienced Civil Project Manager in Uganda to plan, lead and execute civil engineering and construction projects from start to finish, such as buildings, roadways, bridges and infrastructure. The role acts as the main link between clients, architects, structural engineers, subcontractors and on-site staff. One position is open.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans, work breakdown structures and master schedules using tools such as MS Project or Primavera P6
• Prepare cost estimates, manage budgets, track expenditures and review contractor or vendor billing
• Interpret architectural plans, blueprints and technical specifications to check structural and design feasibility
• Negotiate and manage contracts for subcontractors, equipment rentals and material supply chains (concrete, steel, earthworks)
• Inspect sites regularly to verify compliance with engineering standards, building codes and safety regulations
• Identify bottlenecks, resolve site conflicts and implement risk mitigation strategies
• Prepare progress reports, financial updates and compliance documentation for clients and senior management

Required profile

• 3 to 10+ years of proven experience in heavy civil construction, site management or infrastructure projects
• PMP, PRINCE2 or Professional Engineer (PE) / chartership eligibility preferred

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D or BIM tools
• Familiarity with Procore, MS Project and Primavera P6
• Strong knowledge of local building codes, safety standards and material quantity calculations
