About the role

The Upland Unified School District is seeking a dedicated coach to lead the Girls Junior Varsity Water Polo team. This position involves overseeing practice sessions, game preparation, and fostering a positive, competitive environment for student‑athletes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct water polo practices and matches for the junior varsity girls team.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and health certifications required by the district.
• Maintain accurate records of player attendance, performance, and eligibility.
• Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and academic balance among athletes.

Required profile

• Proof of high school graduation or equivalent.
• Current, valid CPR and First Aid certification.
• Two recent letters of recommendation (dated within the last 12 months).
• Letter of introduction.
• Resume detailing relevant experience.

Required skills

• Concussion in Sports certification (renewable every two years).
• Sudden Cardiac Arrest certification (renewable every two years).
• Heat Illness Prevention certification (renewable every two years).
