About the role

TechBuzz Hub is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to support the Startups Harambe Run on 29 November 2026. Volunteers will work on‑site in Kampala and at partner university dispatch points, gaining hands‑on experience in community mobilisation, event organisation and digital campaigning.

Key responsibilities

Organise run‑day meetings, mobilise entrepreneurs, students and investors, and manage crowd safety as a Run Marshal.
Create and distribute social media content, drive online campaigns (#StartupsHarambeRun, #CapitalHarambeRun), and support ticket, kit and sponsorship conversations.
Coordinate logistics with the organising committee and assist with warm‑up training sessions for participants.

Required profile

Enthusiasm for community building, events and the startup ecosystem.
Strong organisational and communication abilities, able to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical fitness for Workout Trainer and Run Marshal tracks.

Required skills

Community mobilisation or event organising experience.
Social media management, content creation or digital marketing knowledge.
