Senior Project Officer – Communications

About the role

The Senior Project Officer – Communications will lead the creation of high‑quality, audience‑focused communications products that showcase the impact and lessons learned from CRS Uganda’s programmes. Working closely with project teams, local partners and participants, you will package insights for donors and stakeholders to advance CRS’s mission.

Key responsibilities

• Capture high‑quality photography, videography, interviews and testimonials from the field.
• Develop and produce case studies, success stories, videos, photos, social‑media content and learning pieces aligned with programme cycles.
• Create visibility materials such as fact sheets, brochures, presentations and donor‑facing marketing collateral.
• Coordinate with CRS country, regional and global communications teams to ensure consistent branding and messaging.
• Provide hands‑on communications support for events, including signage, handouts and media engagement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of marketing and communications experience, preferably with NGOs or development agencies.
• Strong written and spoken English; proficiency in Luganda or other local languages is highly desired.
• Ability to influence without direct authority and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Adobe Creative Suite – InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro (or Canva).
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office and desktop‑publishing tools.
• Photography and videography basics, including interview techniques.
