About the role

The Coordinator will lead the strategic development and management of SSHJM Children in Need (CHIN) in Mukono, ensuring the programme aligns with the organisation's mission and strategic plan.

Key responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction, implementing the SSHJM Mission Development Programme Strategic Plan 2025-29.
• Oversee planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes, ensuring effective day‑to‑day operations.
• Develop and execute fundraising strategies to mobilise resources.
• Manage budgeting, financial oversight and ensure financial stability.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Recruit, manage and develop a high‑performing team, fostering a positive organisational culture.
• Build and maintain relationships with funders, partners, community members and advocate for the organisation at various levels.
• Lead safeguarding policy implementation and respond to any breaches.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master's preferred.
• Minimum 10 years experience in non‑profit management.
• Proven track record in fundraising and resource development.
• Strong financial management and budgeting skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership and team inspiration.
• Commitment to the mission and values of the organisation.
