Customer Acquisition Officer

About the role

Pahappa Limited is looking for a results-driven Customer Acquisition Officer in Kampala, Uganda. The role generates new business, acquires customers, builds a strong sales pipeline and achieves assigned revenue targets. Candidates must show measurable customer acquisition results and a proven ability to deliver against sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prospect and acquire new customers through calls, emails, networking, referrals and other approved channels.
• Generate, qualify and develop new business opportunities.
• Achieve assigned customer acquisition and revenue targets.
• Conduct customer meetings, sales presentations and product demonstrations.
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products or solutions.
• Prepare and submit sales proposals and quotations, and follow up on leads, opportunities and outstanding quotations.
• Address objections, negotiate terms and close sales.
• Maintain a healthy acquisition pipeline, accurate customer information and CRM records.
• Prepare regular sales reports and revenue forecasts.
• Build relationships with existing and prospective customers and monitor market trends and competitor feedback.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in sales, business development, customer care or a related field.
• Proven ability to work towards and achieve sales targets.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and perform under pressure.

Required skills

• Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent prospecting, negotiation and sales-closing abilities.
• Good customer relationship management skills.
• Added advantage: experience selling or marketing SaaS, HR technology, fintech, telecom, IT solutions or other technology products.
