Customer Service Administrator – Imports

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Administrator to join our team in Kasese, supporting Hima Cement as an in‑plant resource. You will coordinate logistics and customer service activities, ensuring timely cargo clearance, delivery, and compliance with CEVA Logistics procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and verify original shipping documents, open files in CargoWise and TMS within six hours, and ensure zero errors.
• Forward files to the declaration department, track discrepancies, and communicate issues to clients promptly.
• Maintain accurate proof of delivery, close files within 48 hours of delivery, and keep all correspondence filed correctly.
• Provide daily progress updates on transport and customs clearance, and work closely with internal teams to manage client accounts.
• Send status reports to clients at least three times a week and inform them of any required payments, extra charges, or loss/damage incidents.

Required profile

• Proven experience in customer service administration within logistics or import operations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and internal coordination.
• Ability to work independently on‑site in Kasese.
