Project Logistics Operations Administrator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Logistics Operations Administrator to coordinate and manage all logistics activities for project‑related shipments in Uganda. The role ensures smooth transportation, warehousing, and delivery while delivering high‑quality customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate project logistics, including transport, warehousing, and end‑to‑end cargo tracking from origin to destination.
• Assess required documentation upon order receipt, request and follow up on letters of cargo, and ensure timely customs clearance.
• Schedule and monitor shipments, provide daily updates on transport progress and customs status, and maintain accurate physical and digital files.
• Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and transport companies to optimise processes and verify shipping documents before forwarding to the declaration team.
• Analyse client documentation, ensure correct billing, and maintain a monthly extra‑costs monitoring report.
• Act as primary customer contact, deliver shipment status updates three times a week, resolve inquiries within six hours, and communicate any loss or damage within 12 hours.
• Manage file openings, maintain systematic record‑keeping, and prepare monthly client visit reports.
