Direct Sales Executive

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position in Kampala focuses on generating new business and managing existing client relationships within the international trade finance sector.

Key responsibilities

• Identify prospects, conduct sales presentations and explain financial and trade‑related products.
• Follow up on leads, close deals and meet defined sales targets.
• Maintain regular contact with clients, address inquiries and provide high‑quality customer service.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate documentation, compliance and timely delivery of solutions.
• Prepare reports and contribute to market insights and sales strategies.

Required profile

• Strong sales skills including prospecting, negotiation and closing in a target‑driven environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities to build trust and maintain professional client relationships.
• Foundational knowledge of finance and international trade; understanding of insurance concepts relevant to trade finance is an advantage.
• Proven experience in direct or field sales, preferably within financial services, banking or trade‑related sectors.
• Ability to work on‑site in Kampala, manage time effectively and handle multiple client engagements simultaneously.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and compliance.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or a related field is preferred.
