Distribution Driver

About the role

The Distribution Driver is responsible for performing second‑tier deliveries according to a planned routing schedule while maintaining strict safety standards. This role supports the supply chain by ensuring timely delivery of orders and accurate inventory reconciliation.

Key responsibilities

• Operate second‑tier delivery vehicles safely and legally.
• Conduct pre‑trip inspections of trucks and trailers, checking oil, water levels, and reporting any damages or faults.
• Execute deliveries following the scheduled route and deliver orders to the designated Point of Contact.
• Reconcile inventory on departure and upon collection at the Point of Contact.
• Adhere to company safety guidelines and maintain a risk‑free working environment.

Required profile

• Grade 12 education.
• 2‑3 years of stock control experience, preferably in the FMCG sector.
• Sound knowledge of SAP R3 and advanced SAP system usage.
• Valid, unendorsed Heavy Duty vehicle licence.
