Fabrication Engineer – Metal Fabrication & CNC Operations

About the role

The Fabrication Engineer will lead and support metal fabrication activities for components such as enclosures, battery cases, cabinets, and mounting structures at our Kirolo Production Site. This hands‑on engineering role combines technical execution with day‑to‑day supervision of a small team of fabrication technicians.

Key responsibilities

• Perform cutting, bending, welding, drilling, grinding, finishing and assembly of metal parts.
• Operate and supervise CNC press brake, CNC fiber laser cutter and other workshop equipment.
• Create, edit and interpret engineering drawings, CAD files, bend drawings and flat patterns.
• Set up CNC machines, adjust parameters, prepare nesting files and troubleshoot basic issues.
• Apply and oversee welding techniques for mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium, ensuring quality and compliance.
• Supervise fabrication technicians, allocate daily tasks, provide technical coaching and monitor safety and productivity.
• Inspect fabricated components against drawings, tolerances and quality standards.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with CNC fabrication machinery and metal welding.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD files.
• Proven capability to guide a small team in a production environment.
• Strong focus on quality, safety and efficient workflow.
