Manager, Procurement Emergency Response Team

About the role

The Manager, Procurement Emergency Response Team will lead procurement activities for International Medical Corps' emergency response operations, ensuring timely delivery of medical supplies and services in disaster‑affected areas.

Key responsibilities

• Implement IMC procurement policies, Emergency Simplified Procedures and standard operating procedures to achieve value‑for‑money purchases.
• Develop dynamic procurement plans, collect needs from program teams and manage local and international supply pipelines.
• Conduct market surveys, vendor registration, pre‑qualification and due‑diligence visits to mitigate risks.
• Maintain procurement trackers, filing systems and reporting for internal and donor audits.
• Oversee customs clearance, export compliance and transition to standard procurement processes as operations mature.
• Recruit, train, supervise and mentor procurement staff, building national capacity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of humanitarian logistics experience, with a focus on procurement in emergency settings.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership and team‑building skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
