Health Visitor – Buchan Health Visiting Team

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Health Visitor to join the Buchan Health Visiting team. The role involves delivering health visiting services to children and families, supporting wellbeing and reducing health inequalities across the community.

Key responsibilities

• Provide health visiting assessments and interventions for children and families in the Buchan and Peterhead areas.
• Work collaboratively within a multi‑agency team, including school nursing, to deliver integrated care.
• Participate in monthly case supervision during the first year and ongoing caseload supervision 6‑8 weekly.
• Contribute to the Local GIRFEC Group and support trauma‑informed practice.
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to relevant legislation such as the UNCRC, Children & Young People (Scotland) Act 2014 and the Named Person policy.

Required profile

• Strong organisational and communication abilities.

• Understanding of the GIRFEC framework and related Scottish health legislation.
