Health Visitor – NHS Scotland (Buchan Team)

About the role

The Buchan Health Visiting team is seeking a motivated Health Visitor to join our multidisciplinary group. You will work closely with school nurses and other professionals to improve health outcomes for children and families in the community.

Key responsibilities

• Provide health visiting services to children and families, following the Universal Health Visiting Pathway.
• Participate in monthly case supervision during the first year and ongoing caseload supervision.
• Engage with the Local GIRFEC Group and multi‑agency partners to support integrated care.
• Contribute to reducing health inequalities and promoting wellbeing in the community.

Required profile

• Strong organisational and communication abilities.
• Commitment to teamwork and integrated service delivery.
• Understanding of the GIRFEC framework and relevant Scottish legislation (UNCRC, Children & Young People Act, Named Person).
