About the role

YooKatale is seeking a full‑time Human Resources Specialist to join its team in a hybrid work arrangement. The role supports daily HR operations, ensuring that employee records, recruitment, onboarding, and performance processes run smoothly while aligning with the company’s customer‑centric culture.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update employee records accurately.
• Coordinate recruitment activities, from job posting to onboarding.
• Assist managers with performance management and appraisal cycles.
• Implement and communicate HR policies and procedures.
• Administer employee benefits and answer related queries.
• Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR matters.
• Handle personnel issues and support employee engagement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Ugandan labor laws and internal policies.
• Collaborate with leadership to align HR practices with organizational values.

Required profile

• Strong background in human resources and HR management.
• Knowledge of local labor legislation and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication, conflict‑resolution, and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Required skills

• HR information systems (HRIS) proficiency.
