Insurance Agent

About the role

Prudential Uganda is hiring a full-time Insurance Agent in a hybrid arrangement, based in Uganda with a mix of office-based and work-from-home duties. The agent identifies and engages prospective clients, assesses their insurance and financial needs and recommends suitable products and solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage prospective clients and assess their insurance and financial needs
• Explain policy features, prepare and present proposals, complete applications and support clients through onboarding
• Maintain ongoing relationships with policyholders, handle queries and provide customer service
• Conduct periodic reviews so coverage stays aligned with clients' changing needs
• Meet sales and activity targets and adhere to regulatory and company standards
• Take part in training and professional development

Required profile

• Skills in insurance sales and insurance brokerage and finance to promote and explain life and other insurance products and advise on coverage and basic financial planning
• Strong customer service skills and strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with diverse clients
• Goal-oriented mindset with proven ability to work towards sales targets and manage time in a hybrid setting
• Prior experience in insurance, financial services or sales is an advantage but not mandatory; willingness to complete required training is essential
• A relevant academic background in business, finance, marketing or a related field is beneficial

• Basic proficiency with digital tools such as email, CRM systems and office productivity software
