Insurance Sales Agent

About the role

The Insurance Sales Agent role is a full‑time, hybrid position based in Kampala. You will work both from the office and remotely to identify prospective clients, explain a range of insurance products and recommend solutions that match customer needs and budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prospect new clients through networking, referrals and lead generation.
• Explain Liberty Uganda’s insurance offerings (life, health, funeral, critical illness, etc.) and provide tailored quotations.
• Prepare and process insurance applications, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Follow up on leads, manage policy renewals and maintain up‑to‑date client records.
• Collaborate with internal teams and brokerage partners to deliver seamless service.
• Achieve assigned sales targets and participate in marketing activities.
• Stay informed about product updates, regulatory changes and market trends.

Required profile

• Proven sales ability with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• Solid knowledge of insurance products and brokerage dynamics.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation, clear communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Strong negotiation, presentation and interpersonal capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a hybrid team.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is an asset.
• Diploma or degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or a related field is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with basic computer applications and CRM tools.
