Integrated Project Officer (Fixed Term)

About the role

World Vision Uganda is hiring two Integrated Project Officers for the Busakira and Alito ADPs, reporting to the Area Programme Coordinator. The role ensures timely and effective implementation of the Area Program Integrated Program (IPF) projects and Sponsorship Foundations, working with local government and community structures to strengthen capacity, promote adaptive programming and deliver child-focused interventions that improve child wellbeing and household resilience. It is a local fixed-term position.

Key responsibilities

• Implement IPF and Sponsorship Foundation projects on time and within budget, building capacity of community stakeholders in the Empowered Worldview approach and integrating GEDSI into activities
• Strengthen child protection by supporting local partners, referral systems and child participation, and mobilize children and caregivers to take part in programmes
• Lead the rollout of the adaptive programming approach and collaborate with government extension agents, community volunteers and COVAs
• Organize stakeholder review meetings, monthly field planning meetings and joint monitoring visits; prepare reports to donor and WVU standards and maintain accurate records
• Document and share impact stories and lessons learned, and support the Annual Operating Plan and Budget
• Support the integration of Child Sponsorship with other cluster sectors and ensure compliance with the Child and Adult Safeguarding Policy, including reporting child protection concerns

Required profile

• Degree in social work, health and nutrition, education, agriculture or another relevant discipline
• At least 2 years of community work and engagement experience
• Must be a committed Christian and active church member, willing to attend daily devotions and weekly chapel services
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, with proven facilitation, conceptual and analytical skills and integrity
