IT Techno Functional Manager - SAP S/4HANA

About the role

Jobberman is hiring an IT Techno Functional Manager in Kampala, Uganda, to lead end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation, configuration, custom development and integration. The role bridges technical and functional expertise, manages stakeholder expectations and ensures system reliability, governance and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead SAP S/4HANA implementation, configuration, solution architecture and custom developments, applying Agile project methods
• Perform performance tuning, upgrades, patches, debugging and proactive issue resolution
• Deliver end-user training, communicate clearly with business stakeholders and manage external SAP vendors and consultants
• Enforce access controls, user roles and segregation of duties, oversee change management and support audits
• Define data migration strategy, improve embedded reporting and dashboards, and integrate SAP with tax authorities, CRM, banking and legacy systems via middleware (API gateways, ESB, SAP CPI)

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; postgraduate qualification preferred
• Minimum 8 years of SAP experience covering functional and technical roles, including at least one full lifecycle implementation
• Hands-on experience with SAP modules (SD, MM, PP, FI, QM, SAP SuccessFactors) and HANA databases
• Strong knowledge of Ugandan tax regulations, including EFRIS integration
• Experience with SAP Activate or ASAP frameworks; SAP certification or a postgraduate degree in Computer Science is an advantage
• Prior experience with network infrastructure, cloud hosting or the pharmaceutical industry is an advantage
