Lecturer in Highway & Transportation Engineering

About the role

Uganda Christian University seeks a full‑time Lecturer to teach and conduct research in Highway and Transportation Engineering. The successful candidate will join a vibrant academic community and contribute to the development of high‑quality curricula and scholarly output.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in assigned areas of civil and transportation engineering.
• Supervise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students on academic projects and research.
• Develop course materials, syllabi, and assessment tools, and maintain student records.
• Secure research funding, publish scholarly work, and engage with professional networks.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Highway Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum two years of university teaching experience at the rank of Assistant Lecturer or three years as a Tutorial Assistant.
• At least one peer‑reviewed publication or completed research project.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to Christian values.
