Life Insurance Agent

About the role

This full‑time position is based in Kampala with a hybrid work arrangement, combining office‑based activities and some work‑from‑home flexibility. As a Life Insurance Agent you will engage prospective and existing clients to understand their financial protection needs and recommend suitable life insurance solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Generate new business through prospecting, referrals and client meetings.
• Conduct needs assessments, prepare and present insurance proposals.
• Support clients through the application and underwriting process and maintain regular contact with policyholders.
• Provide ongoing customer service, handle policy queries and ensure accurate documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with colleagues, attend trainings and stay informed about Prudential products and market trends.

Required profile

• Demonstrated skills in insurance sales and brokerage with ability to manage a client portfolio.
• Strong understanding of life insurance products, basic to intermediate finance knowledge and financial planning concepts.
• Proven customer service abilities, clear communication, active listening and empathy.
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, high integrity and professionalism.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and achieve sales targets in a hybrid environment.
• Good written and spoken English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
• Diploma or degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or related field preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.
