Marketing Consultant (Digital & Social Media)

About the role

The Marketing Consultant will support Volcanoes Safaris’ Kampala office in promoting the brand and its lodges, safaris and conservation initiatives. Working closely with the Marketing Manager, the role focuses on digital and social media channels to increase visibility and engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns across Facebook, LinkedIn, X and Instagram.
• Create engaging content such as blog posts, newsletters and social media updates.
• Schedule and manage social media posts, promotions and community interaction.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
• Assist in planning and coordinating marketing events, trade shows and familiarisation trips.
• Update marketing materials, data sheets, presentations and website content, including SEO optimisation.
• Prepare monthly marketing reports and social media performance statistics.
• Participate in weekly sales and marketing meetings to contribute to growth strategies.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience in marketing, preferably within hospitality or wildlife conservation.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and adapt to occasional weekend or after‑hours work.
• Willingness to travel to lodges for fam trips, site inspections or training.
