Middle School Math Teacher & Academic Intervention Specialist (1.0 FTE)

About the role

This full‑time position combines two responsibilities: 0.4 FTE as an Academic Intervention Specialist and 0.6 FTE as a Math Teacher for grades K‑8. The teaching component includes Geometry, Math 6, and Algebra classes, and requires a geometry endorsement.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver instruction for Geometry, Math 6, and Algebra, adapting lessons to meet individual and group needs.
• Develop, revise, and implement curriculum and instructional materials in line with district guidelines.
• Establish and enforce classroom policies, provide counseling, discipline, and guidance to promote student achievement.
• Collect, interpret, and report student performance data for administrative purposes.
• Collaborate with parents, guardians, and staff to support student progress.
• Direct non‑certificated personnel assigned to the classroom.
• Participate in staff meetings, committees, and professional development activities.

Required profile

• Valid teaching certification with a geometry endorsement.
• Ability to create a supportive learning environment for diverse learners, including at‑risk and special‑needs students.
• Flexibility to address immediate student needs and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with students, families, and colleagues.
