ML Research Scientist – Clinical NLP

About the role

Our team at Curely AI is at the forefront of clinical natural language processing, delivering models that directly influence patient care. As an ML Research Scientist you will lead ambitious research projects, shaping the future of clinical NLP with full access to data and compute resources.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute original research in clinical NLP, including entity recognition, relation extraction, summarization, and clinical reasoning.
• Develop and evaluate models on large‑scale de‑identified clinical note corpora.
• Publish research at top venues such as ACL, EMNLP, NeurIPS, CHIL, and AMIA.
• Translate research advances into production‑ready models in collaboration with ML engineers.
• Mentor junior researchers and represent Curely AI at conferences and within the broader clinical NLP community.

Required profile

• PhD in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of post‑PhD or industry research experience in NLP/ML.
• Strong publication record at leading NLP or ML conferences.
• Deep expertise in transformer architectures, pretraining, and fine‑tuning.
• Proficiency in PyTorch and the broader ML research stack.
