About the role
Danish Refugee Council Uganda is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Partnerships and Grants Manager to lead the grants and partnerships portfolio of a Sudan crisis localisation Fund. The role provides senior leadership, strategic direction and oversight across the full grants lifecycle, ensuring compliance and quality while supporting locally led approaches.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and manage grant application processes, including guidelines, templates and evaluation criteria.
- Lead due‑diligence and vetting of partners, ensuring alignment with donor and fund standards.
- Provide strategic direction for the grants management function and monitor compliance throughout the grant cycle.
- Supervise Partnership and Grants Specialists and Officers, fostering effective teamwork.
- Guide partners on operationalising the Fund’s locally led approach and maintain accountability to donors.
Required profile
- Proven experience in grants management, donor relations or partnership coordination within the humanitarian sector.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent understanding of compliance, reporting and quality assurance in grant programmes.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse partners and stakeholders.
