Senior Team Lead

About the role

Platinum Credit Limited is seeking a Senior Team Lead to manage a sales or credit team in its Kampala office. The role focuses on achieving loan‑originations targets while ensuring compliance, ethical lending, and high‑quality customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, assign, and monitor daily tasks for the team to meet performance goals.
• Coach, mentor, and conduct performance reviews for team members.
• Review loan applications, guide risk‑assessment decisions, and resolve escalated client issues.
• Prepare regular performance and operational reports for senior management.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and support continuous improvement.
• Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff.

Required profile

• Strong leadership and people‑management abilities, including conflict resolution.
• Experience in microfinance, banking, or financial services with solid knowledge of credit processes.
• Proven track record in sales‑driven, target‑oriented environments.
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field; professional certifications are a plus.
