Partnerships Officer

About the role

The Partnerships Officer will support the TVET Council in managing and expanding collaborations with industry, employers, and training institutions. The focus is on facilitating industry attachments, internships, and apprenticeships for TVET learners.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and profile potential industry and employer partners and develop partnership agreements and MoUs.
• Coordinate placement of learners in industry attachments, internships and apprenticeships, and monitor their progress.
• Maintain a database of partners, collect partnership data, and prepare regular performance reports.
• Support incentive mechanisms and outreach activities to encourage employer participation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations, Education, Business Development, Marketing, Economics, Commerce or related field; postgraduate diploma is an advantage.
• Minimum three years of experience in partnerships management, employer engagement or workforce development programmes.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Uganda’s TVET policies, laws and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong stakeholder communication, partnership administration, data tracking and reporting abilities.
• Capability to support incentive schemes, resolve operational issues and maintain effective industry relationships.
